Chili Pepper is commonly known as a vegetable but it is actually a spice used to improve and add zest to the taste of dishes. In some countries all over the world, chili peppers are used as table sauces that are directly eaten together with the meal. Sounds hot, isnt it? There are countries and regions that have chili peppers as part of their kitchen staples. No meal will be complete without it! Lets just say that chili is always a part of their family recipe, a meal is not a meal without a chili.
Chili peppers have a chemical component known as Capsaicin which is responsible for the chilis hot taste. Capsaicin in a one piece of chili can be washed down by gulping down a glass of milk. Milk is the perfect neutralizer of capsaicin since compounds found in milk blocks the receptors of capsaicin. Water wont really do the trick. There are many variations of chili pepper and these are: habanero, jalapeno, cayennes, tabasco, etc. Chili peppers are further subdivided into three categories namely: sweet peppers, hot peppers and bell peppers.
Chili cook offs in Arizona are mostly done in a judging contest as to who has the best chili recipe. Some organizations are taking this opportunity to promote chili awareness to the public. These organizations founded programs in educating the public about the historical and cultural significance of chili. They are vying to have the Chili as the National Food of the United States of America. They are also giving back to the charities as part of their funds.

A lot of recipes can be made using chili as the main ingredient. One classic chili recipe is the famous Chili con Carne which is actually translated in English as Chili and Meat. Chili con carne is widely believed to have originated from Mexico but tracing down its roots point to the American State, Texas.

A bottle of beer is oftentimes considered as a mans drink. Some says that beer is a real machos drink. Beer commercials nowadays feature an oh-so-lucky guy with a drop dead gorgeous goddess for a companion and a luxury car to complete the backdrop. A very lucky guy indeed but that is how beer is marketed nowadays: the drink of a real man.
Beers are manufactured in a manufacturing plant called brewery. They are processed through brewing where the two main ingredients (water and malt) are mixed together in a huge machine. The starch in the mixture is then broken down to sugar and transformed to an alcoholic drink through fermentation process with the help of yeast.
Beer festivals are much awaited events by fun loving people. Beer festivals often showcase beer tasting portions, beer bazaars, live bands, fun and exciting games. There are certain rules that need to be followed in attending these events though. Adults over the age of 21 are only allowed to enter which is always backed up by an ID. Pets and firearms are banned from the festival.
The Great Arizona Festival is an annual beer festival where proceeds will go to the Arizona Sun Sounds, a media arm of the state of Arizona for visually challenged/ impaired individuals. The Arizona Sun Sounds is a radio channel that features useful present information for people who have disability in seeing current issues over the papers.
The Great Arizona Beer festival also has a special place for drivers who do not drink just so they could drive home safely. They are being regarded in the festival as conscientious individuals. To make the drivers stay at the festival fun and worthy, the special place allotted for them has its own music, kiosks and fun events too. This is so that these drivers can enjoy their stay too.
