For many people, New York is like the most important or fun place to be. Because of its metropolitan nature, New York is where most suburban dwellers want to go visiting. 2. Empire State Building The empire state building is possibly the most popular building in New York. Once called the tallest building in the world -it is about one thousand, two hundred and fifty feet high -and named the 8th wonder of the world, many say it signifies or represents what was meant to be carried out when man decided to build the tower of Babel. The empire state building became extremely popular after the movie King Kong was shot in 1933. At the time, it was dubbed the tallest building. However, the mystery surrounding it still counts for visits from over two million visitors annually.

3. Central Park This major tourist centre occupies three hundred and forty one hectares of land is synonymous with its name in its location at the centre of Manhattan. Located between 5th and 8th avenue, central park consists of ice rinks for those who want to skate, theatres, baseball fields, fountains, lakes, a Zoo, a museum, tennis courts and a host of facilities. And the best part of central park is access to it is free of charge. A must see as part of a New York City vacation package.

4. Fifth Avenue For those who love shopping, 5th Ave is an awesome place to be. Located between the 49th and 59th streets, its like a concentration of designer stores such as Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Ferragamo, Prada and Versace. If you are looking for jewelleries, you will find Bulgari shops, Cartier and a host of other jewellers.

The Wine & Cheese of Italy: Off the Beaten Path in New York

Italy is the country known for its good taste, fine gourmet, romantic places and great Italian cheeses. We are knowledgeable of Mozzarella and Parmesan- two great cheese varieties that only came from Italy. Italy is agreat city to be it is even one of my "must-go to" travel destinations. Apart from all of these there is still one reason why you should love Italy and this: the Italian cheese and wine combo.

At New York, New York there is a festival that will celebrate the wine and cheese of Italy. The festival is entitled: "The Wine & Cheese of Italy: Off the Beaten Path." The festival will feature 8 different kinds of wine and 6 different kinds of cheeses. These varainats will be the examples for the wine and cheese tasting class. The event will feature two respecatble persons on the industry: Dilek Caner and Chris Munsey.

Caner will introduce the fine grape variety of Italy that makes their wine taste so good. Munsey on the other hand will discuss the concept of artisanal cheeses and how they differ to commercially produced cheeses. One interesting class that Munsey likes to talk about in his class is the art of Cheese tasting. Munsey on the other hand will give lectures on the concept of artisanal cheeses and how they differ with commercially produce cheese variations.

Basically you can pair cheese and wine depending on their taste. It is likely that a wine can be paired up with a cheese from the same region that it's made. Also, soft and light cheeses are usually paired with light and white wines. Heavier, darker and nuttier flavor of cheese is great to compare with darker and bolder wines. It’s a Red Hot Chili Event!

Chili Pepper is commonly known as a vegetable but it is actually a spice used to improve and add zest to the taste of dishes. In some countries all over the world, chili peppers are used as table sauces that are directly eaten together with the meal. Sounds hot, isnt it? There are countries and regions that have chili peppers as part of their kitchen staples. No meal will be complete without it! Lets just say that chili is always a part of their family recipe, a meal is not a meal without a chili.

Chili peppers have a chemical component known as Capsaicin which is responsible for the chilis hot taste. Capsaicin in a one piece of chili can be washed down by gulping down a glass of milk. Milk is the perfect neutralizer of capsaicin since compounds found in milk blocks the receptors of capsaicin. Water wont really do the trick. There are many variations of chili pepper and these are: habanero, jalapeno, cayennes, tabasco, etc. Chili peppers are further subdivided into three categories namely: sweet peppers, hot peppers and bell peppers.

Chili cook offs in Arizona are mostly done in a judging contest as to who has the best chili recipe. Some organizations are taking this opportunity to promote chili awareness to the public. These organizations founded programs in educating the public about the historical and cultural significance of chili. They are vying to have the Chili as the National Food of the United States of America. They are also giving back to the charities as part of their funds.

Cook off contests for chili has the following criteria: aroma, red color, consistency, taste and aftertaste. Te winning recipe is featured in the organizers internet page or headquarters where the recipe is publicly listed for everyone to see and perhaps, replicate.

A bottle of beer is oftentimes considered as a mans drink. Some says that beer is a real machos drink.
